Sarah joined the Board of Trustees in July 2024 and brings with her a wealth of experience from the charity and healthcare sectors. As Communications Director for Leeds Hospitals Charity, Sarah oversees a busy team of eight in marketing, communications and media relations in her day-to-day role.
Before joining Leeds Hospitals Charity, Sarah spent time as Communications Director for an international health technology firm.
Sarah says: “It’s a real honour to be part of Team Barnsley Hospice. Living just nearby in Cawthorne, I’m really passionate about the service the hospice provides to the people of Barnsley and how respected the charity is by the local community. I’m really enjoying being on the Board and am looking forward to what the next few years will bring.”Outside of work, Sarah is a busy mum of two young girls and also a Trustee of Cawthorne Children’s Centre. When time allows, she spends her weekends hiking (usually with the dog in tow), running or doing yoga.
