Barnsley Hospice helped our grandparents in their time of need, and we wanted to give back to show our appreciation for this amazing charity. Raising above £2,000 has been an incredible feeling. That, alongside everyone taking part in my team being a complete beginner when it came to running, and getting through this challenge, has been so fulfilling. Seeing the joy and tears at the finish line was incredible.

Make a Donation
We are proud to deliver our care and services to the people of Barnsley free of charge, but this is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters. You can make a donation to help us continue our work here.
Play our Lottery
By joining the Barnsley Hospice Lottery, you could win up to £5,000 while supporting the care we provide! You can start playing from £5 a month. Each week one lucky winner receives £500, with 10 runners-up getting £10 each. You must be 18+ to play.
Sign up for Gift Aid
With Gift Aid, we can claim an extra 25% on the donations you make. Signing up is easy – you can do it online in just a few minutes and boost future donations to Barnsley Hospice.
Shop at our Hospice Retail Hub
Our Hospice Retail Hub in Dodworth is a one-stop-shop for clothes, furniture, homeware, books and more. You’ll also find ‘Rotation @ The Hub’, a carefully curated selection of amazing vintage pieces and retro brands. Shop and donate at our Retail Hub and raise vital funds to help us deliver hospice care to local people.
Fundraise at School
We are grateful to receive such fantastic support from schools across the borough. Whether it’s our festive fundraiser – Elf Run – or other events throughout the year, there’s so many ways your school can get involved and support Barnsley Hospice. Collection Boxes
We all know the saying ‘look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves’ and at the hospice we understand the difference loose change can make. Our collection boxes raise thousands of pounds each year from being displayed in shops, salons, bars and other businesses around town. Simply fill out the online form below or email our Fundraising Team at fundraising@barnsley-hospice.org and we’ll be in touch. It’s as easy as that!
Hospice Village
If you have visited the hospice, you may have spotted the Hospice Village in our reception. Each of the houses, flowers, animals and landmarks on the village is dedicated to a loved one and marks a valuable donation to our specialist care in their memory. If you would like to add to our Hospice Village in memory of a loved one, we have a range of houses and cottages to choose from, or we can also help you create a bespoke addition to the wall like a vehicle or pet. Shop our Amazon Wishlist
Our Amazon Wishlist contains items that will help and are needed by teams across the hospice. This could be gardening equipment to keep our outdoor spaces looking great or resources for our counselling and bereavement team to use in sessions with children. Visit our Wishlist to see the items currently on there, you can then purchase the item online and select for it to be delivered directly to the hospice – just be sure to select ‘gift registry address.
