In Memory

Remember someone close to you by making a donation in their memory. This is a valuable and positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one, whilst helping Barnsley Hospice continue caring for others in the future.

Donations in lieu of flowers

If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers or in memory of a loved one, you are most welcome to have their name included in our Flower Book of Remembrance. This book is displayed at the hospice.

All donations are gratefully acknowledged and a registration form for the Flower Book is automatically sent out with the letter of thanks.

The Hospice Village

The Hospice Village is a unique opportunity to have a permanent area of remembrance and celebration of life at the hospice.

The Hospice Village consists of bespoke, handmade glass houses. Each house is made using colourful glass and hosts a beautiful and inspiring place to remember your loved ones.

Every house on the village is individual and comes with a deed of location as well as a personal message in The Hospice Village Directory. Glass ducks and flowers are also available on the village. These smaller glass items provide a tribute to suit everyone, especially children.

The Hospice Village not only offers an opportunity to remember but also enables the community to come together and help grow our very special village.

The village is a way to support your local hospice and help us to continue providing much needed support and care to the people of Barnsley. The village will be on display at the hospice all year round and will be available to view at any time.

For further information about The Hospice Village and to book an appointment to view the houses, please contact Hannah Clarkson on 01226 244244 ext 259.

All the pieces on the Hospice Village are produced by local glass artist Pam Goodison.
