Nigel joined our board of trustees in December 2025.
Nigel is a retired Chartered Accountant who brings financial expertise and strategic insight to his role as a trustee. A proud Barnsley lad, he has witnessed first-hand the extraordinary contribution the hospice has made to the community over the past 30+ years. Inspired by its legacy of compassionate care, Nigel was motivated to join the board to help support and shape the organisation’s future success.
Nigel is passionate about giving back to the community that has always meant so much to him. As a trustee, he is committed to ensuring the hospice remains financially sustainable and well-positioned to continue delivering outstanding care for those who need it most. He values the dedication of the hospice team and feels privileged to play a part in guiding an organisation that provides comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families.
In his spare time, Nigel is something of a fitness fanatic. He enjoys skiing, cycling and regularly plays tennis, pickleball and padel.
