Barnsley Hospice rated one of the top 10 charities to work for in the UK

Barnsley Hospice has been rated one of the top 10 UK charities to work for, according to an employee survey.

After staff were invited to participate in the Best Companies survey earlier this year, the hospice received a rating based on factors such as leadership, wellbeing, and staff’s experience working there.

In addition to receiving a one-star rating, making the hospice a ‘Very Good’ organisation to work for, the hospice also received awards in three national and regional categories.

The hospice placed #7 in the Charity Sector’s Top 10 Best Organisations to Work For Q2 2023; #19 in the Yorkshire & Humber’s Top 25 Companies to Work For Q2 2023; and #48 in the UK’s Top 50 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For Q2 2023.

Stephen Hall, Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Barnsley Hospice, said: “It’s really important to the hospice that we not only provide outstanding services for the people of Barnsley, but that we are also a great employer for the team working here.
