Make a Will Month Raises More than £10,000 for Barnsley Hospice

Barnsley Hospice’s recent Make a Will Month campaign has raised more than £10,000.

Thanks to the generosity of several local solicitor firms, who all waived their legal fees in exchange for donations to the hospice, this excellent amount of money raised will go straight into providing local care for families in Barnsley.

Barnsley Hospice’s Individual Giving Manager, Laura Lawton, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have raised more than £10,000 through Make a Will Month. This has only been possible thanks to the generosity of our participating solicitors and to our supporters who booked with their local firms with this generous offer. Make a Will Month is all about people ensuring they have their affairs in order, whilst knowing they’ve made a big difference to local hospice care.

“We are lucky to have so many generous people in the town that have made Make a Will Month possible, and their participation in such campaigns and fundraising events ensures that Barnsley Hospice’s vital service can keep going.”
