Eldon Street is our original Hospice shop, the place where it all began! Originally named St Peter’s Hospice, it opened to raise money for the building and it remains close to our hearts to this day.
Eldon St is the first charity shop you see when you visit Barnsley Town Centre via public transport. It is in a fantastic location. We sell household and electrical items and have different pop-up sections at different times of the year, such as toys, night wear, swimwear etc. This ensures our customers have a wide variety of items they can purchase and the shop is always filled with fresh stock so that it has something different to offer every time you visit, even for those who come in every day! Helping us to provide this is a small army of invaluable volunteers. Some work on the shop floor and some work behind the scenes sorting stock and preparing it for the shop floor. Some work a few hours a week, some work every day. Without their help Barnsley Hospice could not provide the service it does for the people of Barnsley and we always have room for more! So if you have any free time and you wish to help please ask in the shop for a volunteer pack. Alternatively, email firstname.lastname@example.org
The other ways you can support us are by making a donation, bring in your unwanted items or simply by making a purchase in the shop.
Some of the things our customer say about us are:
'You always have such lovely stuff'
'You are always so nice and helpful'
You always play such good music'
Please pay us a visit and see for yourself! We will be happy to see you!
