Join Us For Our Summer Fair!
Get ready for a feel-good summer Saturday filled with fun, food and fundraising at Barnsley Hospice!

On Saturday 9 August, we’ll be holding our annual Summer Fair and you’re invited! – Come along and enjoy a brilliant couple of hours packed with activities for the whole family!
Between 11 am and 1 pm, The Orangery will be open to the public and filled with a variety of stalls, all helping to raise vital funds to support the hospice and the work we do.
Here are some of the activities you can expect on the day:
- Children’s Activities inc. Tin Can Alley, Lollipop Lucky Dip, Connect4, Face Painting
- ‘Hospice Rocks’ Hunt in the garden
- Bric-a-Brac and Craft Stalls
- Tombolas and Raffles
- Refreshments, Hot Dogs, Cakes & Ice Lollies!
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re popping by to browse or bringing the whole family for a fun day out. Entry is free, and donations are warmly welcomed on the day.
If you can’t make it on the day but would still like to support us, any prize donations would be greatly appreciated. Any unwanted gift sets, candles, toiletries, confectionery or sealed bottles will make a huge difference on the day and can be dropped off at our Reception, any day between 9 am – 5 pm.

Is there parking at the hospice?
Yes, there is free parking at the hospice and along Church Street. We will have volunteers in the car park to help you.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes, we will have refreshment stalls set up throughout the day and will be serving food and drink.
Do I need to pay to enter on the day?
No, entry is free and you can just turn up on the day!
Do I need to bring cash?
It’s a good idea to bring some cash to use on our stalls and games. But, we will also have contactless card machines to pay on your phone or card on the day.
