The Yorkshire Marathon is one of the region’s most popular long-distance running events, attracting thousands of runners each year to take on a full 26.2-mile challenge. Starting and finishing at the University of York, the route takes in the historic city of York and the surrounding countryside, offering a scenic and memorable marathon experience.
With excellent organisation, strong crowd support and a welcoming atmosphere for runners of all abilities, the Yorkshire Marathon is a fantastic event for first-time marathon runners and seasoned runners alike. It’s a rewarding challenge and a brilliant opportunity to fundraise in support of Barnsley Hospice.

- Minimum age: Participants must be 18 years or over on event day.
This event is independently organised by Run For All. Barnsley Hospice is not involved in the organisation or delivery of this event.
