Our volunteers play an essential role in helping us provide specialist care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. By giving your time, skills and enthusiasm, you will help us continue delivering care that truly matters.

About the Role

As a volunteer, you may support the hospice in a variety of ways depending on the role. This could include:

  • Assist ward staff with bed making
  • Assist in movement and cleaning of equipment from the ward
  • Assist ward clerk with clerical tasks e.g., photocopying, answering phone calls
  • Assist with patient orientation of the ward
  • Assist staff to prepare patients for discharge home or inpatient treatment
  • Help serve food and beverages for patients (not feeding)
