Join Our Team as a Gift Aid Volunteer!

Barnsley Hospice is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to join our team and support the vital work we do across our services.
Our volunteers play an essential role in helping us provide specialist care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. By giving your time, skills and enthusiasm, you will help us continue delivering care that truly matters.
About the Role
- As a volunteer, you may support the hospice in a variety of ways depending on the role. This could include:
- Approaching donators enquiring on their awareness of Gift Aid and its benefits and raising awareness
- Explaining the Gift Aid process and taking all relevant information should a donator wish to register
- Sign Up donor and issue with Gift Aid details
- Create Gift Aid donation receipt and information – mark up the donations and separate all Gift Aid donations in relevant cages
- Tracking Gift Aid donations
- Process any further information needed in preparation for Gift Aid registration
- Potential involvement at outside events (pop up shops, marketing stalls, fundraising events)
Please note: all applicants must be over 18 to volunteer at the hospice and retail hub.
This vacancy will be left open until we recruit sufficient volunteers for the role.

About us
Barnsley Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative and end of life care to hundreds of local people and those close to them each year. Our main priority is to achieve the best possible quality of life for people living with a life-limiting illness, whilst supporting those close to them during the period of illness and bereavement. As a specialist care provider, the range of skills we offer include, pain and symptom management, emotional support and end of life care. The hospice currently employs about 100 people and has a team of volunteers, based both at the hospice and within our retail hub.
