What is a Guided Visualisation?
It is a relaxation and mindfulness technique which encourages you to use each of the five senses to create an image or journey in your mind.
How does it help?
The visualisation is unique to you, so you can decide the elements of the story like where it is set and what you can see. Through this technique, you could revisit past holidays or be in a place that is special to you. By practicing this meditation technique, it can help to reduce stress and allow you to feel peaceful and calm.
How often should I do it?
You can use the visualisation as often as you need. This example is around five minutes long, but you may wish to remain in the visualisation for longer once the video is over. To get the most from the visualisation, ensure you are in a quiet space before starting the scan where you will not be disturbed for at least five minutes.
