Barnsley Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual Giving Fundraiser to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in maximising income from our individual giving campaigns, including Legacy, Regular Giving, Lottery and In Memory donations.
What You’ll Do
- Support the development and delivery of fundraising campaigns including Legacy, Regular Giving, Lottery and In Memory donations
- Help grow the number of supporters contributing through legacy pledges, regular donations and in memory giving
- Develop and maintain effective supporter journeys to enhance supporter experience and maximise income
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop inspiring and compassionate campaign messaging
- Use the hospice CRM system to manage supporter records, track communications and report on campaign performance
- Represent Barnsley Hospice at community events, networking opportunities and presentations
- Support the delivery of wider fundraising initiatives and major hospice events when required
- Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least two years’ experience in individual giving fundraising or a similar role
- Has a good understanding of legacy giving and gifts in wills in the UK
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Has experience building relationships and stewarding supporters
- Can manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a busy environment
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Is confident analysing campaign data and using insights to improve results
- Works collaboratively and positively as part of a team

About us
Barnsley Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative and end of life care to hundreds of local people and those close to them each year. Our main priority is to achieve the best possible quality of life for people living with a life-limiting illness, whilst supporting those close to them during the period of illness and bereavement. As a specialist care provider, the range of skills we offer include, pain and symptom management, emotional support and end of life care. The hospice currently employs about 100 people and has a team of volunteers, based both at the hospice and within our Retail Hub.
