A TEE-refic total raised at our annual Golf Day
18 May 2026
Barnsley Hospice raised almost £10,000 last week at their annual Charity Golf Day at Silkstone Golf Club.
The day is a key event in the organisation’s fundraising calendar, with businesses and teams from across the borough coming together on the course to make a difference. This year was no exception with £9,649.06 raised on the day through donations and 20 teams taking part.
Simon Atkinson, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Barnsley Hospice said: “We’re so proud to see our Golf Day be a success once again. It’s always an amazing atmosphere of supporters having a good time on the course, while knowing they are helping to make a difference to local families when they need it most. It was great to see so many teams returning once again to support us, along with new faces participating for the first time.”
“We’d like to express our thanks to all the players who took part, as well as those who donated a prize or refreshments. Also, to our incredible event sponsors, Lifetime, who sponsored the event for the 14th consecutive year and had a team playing on the day.”
Ian Dickinson, Group Innovation Director at Lifetime, adds: “Supporting Barnsley Hospice and the great work the team do is something we are very proud of. They deliver a fantastic service to the community and Lifetime is very happy to continue to be on the journey.”
Roebucks Estate Agents took the top spot and were crowned winners on the day, with CBC Computers securing second and Ben Kinghorn and friends taking third place.
