Pop-Up Shop Back in Barnsley for Christmas
Barnsley Hospice Retail Hub will return to the town centre for a festive series of ‘pop-up’ shops in the run-up to Christmas.
The Retail Hub’s pop-up shop will return to the Glass Works in Barnsley every Friday and Saturday from November 21 up to and including December 20.
The shop, based next to Flannels, will offer a variety of clothing items, from vintage classics to well-known high-street brands, along with some Barnsley Hospice-branded items.
Fresh from being crowned the Charity Retail Association’s ‘Charity Shop of the Year’ for Yorkshire and the Humber, Simon Lindley, Retail Operations Manager for Barnsley Hospice Retail Hub, which is based in Dodworth, said: “We’re so excited to bring our Retail Hub back into the town centre. We received so much positive feedback over the course of June and people were soon asking when we would return.
“The Barnsley public can shop with a real difference this Christmas, as every purchase from our pop-up shop directly supports the vital services Barnsley Hospice provides. Barnsley Town centre is thriving at the minute and we are privileged to bring a truly unique shopping experience where the people of Barnsley will benefit from every purchase made, either in our Retail Hub or down at the pop-up shop at the Glass Works. We can’t wait to welcome everybody through our doors once again.”
The Pop-Up Shop opening hours will be 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays starting Friday 21 November up to and including Saturday 20 December.
Bringing a pop-up shop to Barnsley town centre provides a great opportunity for shoppers to grab themselves a bargain whilst supporting the hospice’s vital services. The hospice needs to raise two-thirds of its annual income on average by raising funds to ensure the delivery of its care.
