Hospice launch August Donation Drop Off Point at Tesco Stairfoot
Barnsley Hospice Retail Hub has partnered with Tesco Stairfoot to host a temporary drop off point for clothing donations this August.
Every Friday in August, between 9 am and 3 pm, the hospice team will be based in the car park of Tesco Stairfoot collecting clothing donations. The clothes will then be taken to the Barnsley Hospice Retail Hub in Dodworth, and will be sold to raise much-needed funds to support the vital services of the hospice.
Julia Bowness, Head of Business Development at Barnsley Hospice said: “We are delighted to be working with Tesco Stairfoot to make this donation drop off point possible. While our Retail Hub in Dodworth is a one-stop shop for donating and shopping, it’s now even easier for supporters throughout borough to drop off unwanted clothes and help make a difference to the care we provide. We’d like to say a huge thanks to the team at Tesco Stairfoot for their ongoing support.”
As a charity, the hospice relies on the generosity of the local community to continue providing care and support free of charge to local people and their loved ones. The Hospice Retail Hub, which opened in 2020, is a crucial part of this. Shopping at our Retail Hub or donating items can help make a difference to a family when they need it most.
Clothing items can be donated at the temporary drop off point, as well as the Retail Hub will be open as usual on the Fall Bank Industrial Estate in Dodworth for donations of furniture, electricals, toys and more. Clothing donations can also be made at the ‘Donation Station’ inside Countrywide Healthcare’s Grimethorpe-based store. Visit the Barnsley Hospice website to find out more www.barnsleyhospice.org.
