The grant funding received by the Hospice from charitable trusts and foundations is vital in enabling us to sustain the highest quality of care for our patients and those close to them. Grants help to support our clinical services, pay for much-needed equipment and can allow us to undertake new ways of caring as the need arises.
We are very grateful to have received grants in the past for a wide range of purposes including the purchase of specialist armchairs for our inpatients, new energy efficient boilers for the Hospice building and the development of the Hospice’s inpatient garden.
Whether through large, one off awards or smaller, regular grants, the funding we receive from our Trust supporters helps towards the continuation of our services and the maintenance of the Hospice building in which we care for our patients and their loved ones.
One of the core needs of the Hospice is revenue funding which pays for the day to day running of the organisation. In 2016/17 it is expected to cost over £4 million to run the charity and we rely heavily on voluntary donations from the local community to help towards this target.
With this in mind, we would love to hear from Trusts or Foundations that support any of the following:

- Purchase of garden furniture, parasols and bespoke cushions for The Limes patients’ garden
- Two replacement heated catering trolleys for patient meals
- Purchase of ten SMART TVs for inpatient rooms
- Replacement of the The Limes patients’ coffee machine
