All Hospice volunteers are asked to complete an application form and supply two references (which are taken up). Volunteers are invited to visit the Hospice for an informal interview and a tour and must complete a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check, before they can be placed within a department. Also they must complete an Induction/Mandatory training day within the first six months of commencing their volunteer role.
All Retail volunteers are asked to complete an application form and supply two references (which are taken up). Retail volunteers may choose to join in the training sessions held at the Hospice or may prefer to attend a training session within a shop. Retail volunteers are encouraged to visit the Hospice for a tour.
