Barnsley’s second Gay Pride festival will launch the All Barnsley Diversity Festival on 5th September. Last year’s first Pride event was a huge success, with over 2000 extra people swelling the usual Sunday visitors to the town centre. The event will be a day-long celebration with entertainment for the whole family.
This year’s Pride is raising money for local charity, Barnsley Hospice and the Barnsley LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) forum is working in partnership with the Hospice to promote the event and raise money for a good cause.
The event promises to be a day-long celebration with entertainment for the whole family including a central stage hosting a multitude of artists with a specific focus on showcasing local singers and bands, a wide range of arts, crafts, pride memorabilia and information stalls, plus plenty of food & drink to cater for all tastes.
