The Apex Rooms are a purpose built facility, ideal for small conferences, meetings and seminars away from your normal workplace. The Education Centre offers a professional environment located in a semi rural location on the edge of Barnsley. The Apex Rooms are only one mile from Junction 37 of the M1 and have free parking.
So whatever type of conferencing event you are looking to host, Barnsley Hospice can accommodate your needs. Providing audio visual equipment, catering and assistance to make sure your event runs as smoothly as possible.
All rooms are light and airy, have ample power points, telephone and computer sockets. and offer a variety of layouts.
- The lecture room can accomodate up to 60. This room can be divided into two separate rooms. It features a lectern incorporating a range of presentation equipment including
- Visualiser/OHP, PC, DVD/VHS recorder, sound system, microphone and induction loop.
- A large meeting room, ideal for training events or use as a boardroom.
- A small meeting room for syndicate work and interviews
- A library, with internet access
- Also available is a portable 50" plasma screen complete with PC/DVD/VHS recorder. OHP/screen, flipchart and whiteboards can also be provided.

The Apex Rooms are located on the first floor accessible by stairs, lift or chair/stair lift.
